PITTSBURGH—Pitt junior quarterback Kenny Pickett and sophomore defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman received ACC Player of the Week honors at their respective positions following the Panthers' 34-27 overtime victory against North Carolina.

Pickett (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) threw for 359 yards and accounted for three touchdowns (one passing and two rushing). His three-yard run on the opening possession of overtime proved to be the game-winner.
Pickett completed 25-of-41 passes with no interceptions. His 74-yard touchdown pass to Shocky Jacques-Louis equaled Pitt's longest scoring play of the season. Pickett also rushed for 53 yards on 12 carries, giving him 412 of the Panthers' season-high 498 yards.

Twyman (Washington, D.C./H.D. Woodson) spearheaded Pitt's potent pass rush with 2.5 sacks for losses totaling 15 yards. His biggest sack came in overtime when he smothered Sam Howell for a five-yard loss, pushing the Tar Heels into a fourth-and-16 that they could not convert.
Twyman now has a team-high 9.5 sacks on the year, the most by a Pitt interior defensive lineman since Aaron Donald had 11 during his All-America senior season in 2013. Twyman ranks seventh nationally (second in the ACC) with an average of 0.95 sacks per game. The Panthers lead the nation with 45 total sacks (4.50 per game).
Winners of six of its past seven games, Pitt travels to Virginia Tech for a crucial ACC Coastal Division encounter this Saturday. The Panthers and Hokies are both 7-3 overall and 4-2 in ACC play.
The game will be nationally televised by ESPN2 and kick off at 3:30 p.m.
