Wanamaker Named Turkish BSL League Finals MVP

Former Pitt Standout Continues to Shine Overseas
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt standout Brad Wanamaker continues to shine on the international stage claiming MVP honors for the second time in the past four seasons. He claimed the 2018 Turkish BSL League Finals MVP honors after leading Fenebahce to a 4-1 route of Tofas Bursa in the finals.
Wanamaker, a 2011 honorable mention All-America selection for the Panthers, averaged a team-high 16.4 points to go along with 4.2 assists per game in the five games of the series.
He also helped Fenerbahce reach the 2018 EuroLeague Final Four where they dropped an 85-80 decision to Real Madrid in the title game. In 36 EuroLeague games, he averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

This is the second time in Wanamaker's career that he's named Finals MVP. In 2015 he claimed the honor by propelling Brose Bamberg to winning the German League title in his debut season with the Bavarian team.
Wanamaker has led teams to five titles during his professional career - 2012 NBDL Championship, 2015 and 2016 Bundesliga titles, 2017 Turkish President's Cup and the 2018 Turkish BSL.
