Pitt Ties Program Record with Seven All-EAGL Team Honorees

Brechwald, Brett, Conrad, Herbine, Jones, Petrikis and Tripp Named to All-EAGL Team.
BALTIMORE – The East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) announced its All-EAGL first and second team selections Monday, which included seven Pitt gymnasts among the honorees.
The Panthers' seven honorees is tied for the most in program history since Pitt joined the EAGL in 1996, tying them with the 2012 and 2009 squads.
Haley Brechwald, Lucy Brett, Catie Conrad, Deven Herbine, Lucy Jones, Alecia Petrikis and Megan Tripp all earned recognition from the conference, with at least one Panther earning first or second team honors in every event.
Brechwald was named to the All-EAGL first or second team in all five events (includes all-around), followed by Conrad with three events and the rest of the group with one event a piece.
Pitt saw three gymnasts earn honors on vault, with each receiving All-EAGL second team recognition. Brechwald led the Panthers with an RQS of 9.840, followed by Herbine at 9.825 and Petrikis with a 9.820.
On bars, five gymnasts landed first or second team honors. Conrad was Pitt's lone first team honoree, boasting an RQS of 9.840. Brechwald and Brett led the second team awardees with an RQS of 9.825, followed by Jones at 9.820 and Tripp with a 9.795.
Both Brechwald and Conrad were named to the All-EAGL second team on beam, with the duo both posting an RQS of 9.820 on the season.
On floor, Brechwald was the lone Panther to earn All-EAGL recognition, where she was named to the first team with an RQS of 9.875.
The duo of Brechwald and Conrad also earned All-EAGL honors in the all-around, with Brechwald being named to the first team with an RQS of 39.250 and Conrad being named to the second team with a 39.000.
The Panthers return to action Saturday, March 24, when they travel to Towson, Md., to compete in the EAGL Championship.
