PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh guard Sidy N'Dir will miss 4-6 weeks with a leg injury head coach Jeff Capel announced Monday afternoon. N'Dir, a graduate transfer from New Mexico State, is averaging 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Panthers.
"This is an unfortunate injury for Sidy as we felt he was really beginning to get back into form," said Capel. "He will be sideline for 4-6 weeks with this leg injury, but we are confident that with rest and rehab he will be back as quickly as possible."
N'Dir had a season-best 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field in a win over Saint Louis. He is averaging 7.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game over the past five games.
Pitt, 8-3 on the year with a 6-1 at the Petersen Events Center, has non-conference games remaining against New Orleans (Dec. 20) and Colgate (Dec. 29) before opening ACC play Saturday, Jan. 5 against North Carolina.
