IRVING, Texas – The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation has partnered with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for the third consecutive year to make a difference for teachers through the CFP Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers (EYFT) platform.
ACC universities have made a positive impact in their communities throughout the college football season, including in-game recognition of local teachers, social media testimonials from coaches and student-athletes supporting educators, and select classroom project requests funded through DonorsChoose.org, a crowdfunding platform that allows teachers to request school supplies for their classrooms.
EYFT programming will also be a focus before and during the weekend of the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, slated for Saturday, December 1, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
"Education is a cornerstone for our league and our member institutions," said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. "Through our three-year partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, we have provided valuable resources for more than 73,000 students. We're proud of the impact we've had on communities throughout the ACC and are excited to continue celebrating educators at the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game."
