Pitt Drops 3-0 Decision to Virginia Tech

Panthers Head to #10 Seed Notre Dame Wednesday, Nov. 1
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision Friday night to Virginia Tech in the final regular season game.
The Panthers drop to 8-9 overall with a 2-6 mark against ACC foes. The Hokies improve to 9-8 overall and finish 3-5 when playing conference opponents.
Virginia Tech jumped to a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute and Pitt was unable to recover.
The Hokies tacked on back-to-back goals in the 61st and 64th minutes, extending their lead to 3-0.
The visiting team out-shot the Panthers 8-4, while finishing with a 13-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Pitt enters postseason play Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the first round of the ACC Men's Soccer Tournament.
