Panthers Open ACC Tournament at Notre Dame

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Pittsburgh men's soccer enters postseason play as the No. 10 seed in the 2017 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament and will travel the No. 7 seed Notre Dame Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Wake Forest and North Carolina hold the top two seeds.
Pitt (8-9, 2-6 ACC) travel to Notre Dame (9-5-2, 3-3-2 ACC) Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The winner will No. 2 North Carolina in the quarterfinals Sunday, Nov. 5 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Panthers defeated the then-ranked No. 7 Irish earlier in the season, 1-0, on the road. Pitt's historic win over Notre Dame was its first since 2002 and it's first over top-10 since 2000.
Wednesday's game will mark just the second trip to the tournament for the Panthers since joining the conference.
