The Opening Tip
• Pitt returns home to host Yale Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Petersen Events Center (7 p.m. - ACC Network Extra).
• The Panthers have won 11 straight non-conference home games against unranked opponents. Pitt is 129-5 overall at the Petersen Events Center in non-conference action.
• Michael Young was named to the 2K Classic All-Tournament team after averaging 26.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in the pair of contest at Madison Square Garden.
• The Panthers are playing for the fourth time in nine days. Pitt is scheduled to play seven games in the month of November.
Last Time Out
• Pitt overcame a 15-point second half deficit en route to a 78-75 win over Marquette at Madison Square Garden in the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
• Michael Young scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line. He went 8-of-11 from the field and scored 19 points in the second half of play.
• Jamel Artis added 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win. He knocked down a pair of three-point field goals and finished 7-of-15 from the field.
• Chris Jones registered 13 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Ryan Luther contributed eight points, five rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

• Michael Young (15.7 ppg., 6.7 rpg., 2.3 apg.) is one of 13 returning players in the NCAA to average at least 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game last season. Young and Evan Badds (Belmont) are the only two players among that group to do so while shooting over 50.0 percent from the field. Young is currently averaging 24.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, while shooting 57.7 percent (30-of-52) from the field.
• Ryan Luther leads the Panthers with a +34 plus/minus over 82 minutes of action. He has a +16.57 scoring margin per 40 minutes.
• Michael Young has topped the 20-point mark in each of the past two games. He has recorded three consecutive 20-point games twice in his career.
