Florida State 61, Pitt 52
*The 61-52 loss to Florida State drops Pitt to 19-13 overall and 8-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Pitt will be either the No. 9 or No. 10 seed upon entering the ACC Tournament on Wednesday.
*Pitt needs one more victory to reach the 20-win plateau for the 22nd time in school history. With another win, it would mark the 14th consecutive season that Pitt totaled 20 or more victories.
*The loss closes out Pitt's regular season with a 2-9 road record.
*Pitt shot just 33.3 percent (19-57) from the floor. That mark represented the second lowest shooting percentage on the season for Pitt. Pitt shot just 32.7 percent at NC State on Jan. 3, 2015.
*Pitt's 23 fouls tied a season-high. Pitt also committed 23 fouls vs. Niagara in the season opener on Nov. 14, 2014.
*For the 16th consecutive game, Jamel Artis reached double figure scoring as he led Pitt with 17 points. Artis led Pitt in scoring for the 15th time this season. Artis has now reached double figure scoring in 23 games on the year and 25 times for his career.
*Josh Newkirk finished with 12 points on the day for his seventh double figure game of the year and 12th of his career. It was the first time Newkirk reached double figure scoring since Feb. 2. He also tied a career-high with 13 field goal attempts.
*James Robinson grabbed a career-high nine rebounds. His previous career-high was eight. Robinson started his 86th consecutive game.
*Pitt fell to 10-3 all-time vs. Florida State. It also marked the first time that Pitt has lost to Florida State in Tallahassee. Pitt entered the game after having won six of the previous seven matchups against Florida State. The nine-point win was Florida State's largest ever against Pitt.
