*The 81-70 loss to NC State drops Pitt to 19-14 overall.
*NC State shot 63.6 percent (14-22) in the second half alone and 53.1 percent (26-49) for the game. The Wolfpack also converted 79.3 percent (23-29) of their free throw attempts.
*Pitt senior Cameron Wright led the Panthers with 19 points. It was one point shy of his career-high of 20 points set two times vs. Georgia Tech on Jan. 17, 2015 and vs. Duquesne on Nov. 30, 2013.
*Michael Young finished with 13 points, his 31st career and 25th season double figure scoring game. Young also tied a career-high with two 3-point field goals made.
*For the 17th consecutive game, Jamel Artis reached double figure scoring as he finished with 12 points in 38 minutes. Artis has now reached double figure scoring in 24 games on the year and 26 times for his career.
*Chris Jones finished the game with 13 points for his 14th career/season double figure scoring contest.
*NC State's Anthony Barber scored a game-high 34 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 3FG) and hit a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. The 12-12 free throw performance ranked tied for the sixth best free throw performance by an opponent in school history. The record is a perfect 16-16 by Cleveland State's Frank Edwards on Jan. 23, 1980.
