Pitt's Darrelle Revis is a Super Bowl champion

GLENDALE, Ariz. -
Pitt product Darrelle Revis, long recognized as one of the finest cornerbacks in the game, perhaps cemented his legacy as an all-time great when his New England Patriots topped the Seattle Seahawks, 28-24, in Super Bowl XLIX.
In addition to his usual blanket coverage in the secondary, Revis also recorded a quarterback sack in the Patriots victory. Although it was New England’s fourth Super Bowl title, it marked Revis’ first appearance in the NFL’s showcase game. The Patriots’ lured Revis from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last offseason with the hopes he would be a key piece in helping the franchise reach the Super Bowl summit once again.
Revis did not disappoint. He was voted to the Pro Bowl for the sixth time in his career, while helping New England boast one of the NFL’s top scoring defenses.
In total, 40 Pitt players have been on Super Bowl rosters and 21 of them have claimed at least one championship ring.
