•Pitt won its fifth consecutive game, improved to 6-0 at the Petersen Events Center and improved to 9-3 on the year with this evening’s 58-39 win over Holy Cross.
•Pitt won its 29th consecutive game against a non-conference opponent at home. The 29 consecutive home non-conference wins rank as the second longest streak of its kind in Petersen Events Center history. The record is 58 consecutive non-conference home wins set from Nov. 19, 2005-Nov. 16, 2011.
•Pitt improves to 116-3 all-time vs. non-conference opponents in the Petersen Events Center. Pitt has also won 137 of their last 141 home games against regular season non-conference opponents at home.
•Pitt needs just one more win to reach 200 all-time victories at the Petersen Events Center. With the win, Pitt improves to 199-27 all-time in the Petersen Events Center. It improves to 58-2 in December games played in the Petersen Events Center.
•Jamie Dixon improved to 297-99 all-time as a head coach in his 12th year at Pitt. He needs just four more wins to reach the 300-win plateau. Dixon improved to 141-15 overall vs. non-conference foes.
•Pitt limited Holy Cross to just 39 points in the contest. The 39 points rank tied for the sixth fewest points allowed in school history (since 1954-55). The record is 32 points set by New Hampshire on Dec. 4, 2009.
•Pitt limited Holy Cross to just 14 first half points. The 14 points rank tied for the fifth fewest points allowed by an opponent in a half in school history. The school record is seven points by New Hampshire on Dec. 4, 2009.
•Pitt outrebounded Holy Cross by 20 rebounds (45-25). That marks the second highest rebound margin on the year for Pitt.
•Michael Young led Pitt in scoring for the fifth time this season with 13 points on 5-9 field goals. It marked his fourth consecutive double figure scoring game, 14th of his career and ninth of the year.
•Jamel Artis also scored 13 points and led Pitt with nine rebounds on the evening. He converted a career-high tying six field goals in 10 attempts.
•Pitt improved to 3-1 all-time vs. Holy Cross.
