•Pitt improved to 6-3 on the year with a 58-54 win over St. Bonaventure (6-2).
•Pitt played its first game at the Petersen Events Center in a full month spanning six games. That is the longest stretch away from home since the Petersen Events Center opened in 2002-03.
•Pitt won its 26th consecutive game against a non-conference opponent at home. Pitt improves to 113-3 all-time vs. non-conference opponents in the Petersen Events Center. Pitt has also won 134 of their last 138 home games against regular season non-conference opponents at home.
•With the win, Pitt improves to 196-27 all-time in the Petersen Events Center. Pitt now needs just four more victories to reach 200-win mark at the Petersen Events Center. It improves to 55-2 in December games played in the Petersen Events Center.
•Jamie Dixon improved to 138-15 overall vs. non-conference foes.
•Sophomore Michael Young notched his second career double-double with a 14-point, 17-rebound performance. His 17 rebounds, 14 defensive rebounds, eight free throws made and 12 free throws attempted were all career-highs. He reached double figure scoring for the 11th time in his career and sixth time on the year and double figure rebounding for the second time in his career.
•Sophomore Jamel Artis finished with a career-high tying 14 points and a career-high four blocked shots. It marked his sixth career and fourth season double figure scoring contest.
•Sophomore Chris Jones finished with 12 points, his third consecutive double figure scoring contest and fifth of his career and 2014-15 season.
•Cameron Wright made his first start of the season at off-guard after missing the season’s first seven games with a left foot injury (fifth metatarsal break). It was his first start since last year’s NCAA Tournament against Florida on March 22, 2014. Wright played 21 minutes, made three steals, grabbed three rebounds, scored one point (1-2 FT) and was 0-4 from the floor. He made his much anticipated return to action when he entered the game at the 13:07 mark of the first half against Duquesne on Dec. 5.
•Josh Newkirk totaled 16 points (3-4 3FG) and five assists in 30 minutes off the bench. It was his second straight 16-point performance and second consecutive 30-minute game. His 16 points tied a season high, his fourth double figure scoring game of the season and ninth of his career.
•With his 12 points, Chris Jones registered his fourth double figure scoring game of the year and over his career. Jones also blocked a career-high three shots. He played in a career-high 36 minutes.
•Pitt improved to 6-2 all-time vs. St. Bonaventure and 5-1 vs. the Bonnies in Pittsburgh.
