No. 22 Pitt at No. 2 Syracuse • Syracuse, N.Y., Carrier Dome • January 18, 2014

•Pitt dropped to 16-2 on the year and 4-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Both losses on the year have come by five points or less.
•Pitt’s four-game road win streak came to an end. Pitt has now claimed eight of its last 11 road contests.
•With the loss, Jamie Dixon now drops to 31-11 overall record vs. current ACC teams (including Syracuse and Notre Dame). He is still 15-0 vs. previous ACC teams.
•Syracuse shot 51.2 percent (21-41) from the floor against Pitt. That marked the best shooting percentage registered by a Pitt opponent this season.
•Pitt outrebounded Syracuse by 11 boards (35-24) and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds. In its last three games, Pitt has outrebounded each of its opponents by 10 rebounds or more (Wake Forest, +10, Georgia Tech, +20, Syracuse, +11). The 16 offensive rebounds tied for the third most pulled down by Pitt this season.
•Pitt shot 38.3 percent (18-47) from the floor, its second worst shooting game of the year. The Panthers’ season-low field goal percentage was 31.4 (11-35) vs. Cincinnati in the Jimmy V Classic, a 45-44 loss.
•Pitt also shot just 56.5 percent (13-23) from the free throw line, its second worst outing from the line this year. Pitt entered the game hitting 73.2 percent of its free throws.
•For the first time this year, Pitt had more turnovers (11) than assists (10).
•Pitt lost its second consecutive game at Syracuse. Pitt has now defeated Syracuse in six of the last nine games played in the Carrier Dome.
•Jamie Dixon dropped to 5-2 in games played against Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. He is now 10-5 in his career vs. Syracuse.
•With 18 points, senior Lamar Patterson notched his 15th consecutive double figure scoring game. He led Pitt in scoring for the 11th time this season. It was his 17th double figure scoring game in 18 contests this year and 54rd of his career. His nine 3-point attempts and 38 minutes either set or tied career-highs respectively.
•Senior Talib Zanna registered his 12th career and sixth double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds (four offensive). It also marked his sixth consecutive double figure scoring game, his 14th of the year and 41st of his career. It was his 16th double digit rebounding game of his career and sixth of the year.
•Cameron Wright played a career-high 38 minutes in the contest.
•Pitt dropped to 39-64 overall vs. Syracuse and 13-35 in games played in Syracuse. Pitt is now 10-17 in games played in the Carrier Dome.
