No. 4 Michigan vs. Pitt, Madison Square Garden, November 21, 2012

*Pitt dropped its first game of the season. It is now 4-1 and will play Delaware in Friday’s 2:30 p.m. NIT Season Tip-Off Consolation Game at Madison Square Garden. That game will be televised nationally on ESPN. Michigan meets Kansas State at 4:30 p.m. in the Championship Game.
*Pitt played its 43rd game at Madison Square Garden since the 2000-01 season. With the loss dropped to 28-15 in those games. Pitt has now won 16 of its last 25 contests at MSG. Overall, Pitt played in its 86th all-time contest at Madison Square Garden and dropped to 43-43 overall.
*Pitt dropped to 13-6 vs. top-5 ranked teams and 23-13 vs. top-10 ranked teams since the 2000-01 season.
*Pitt shot 51.9 percent (14-27) from the floor and 41.7 percent (5-12) from 3-point range in the first half but just 38.5 percent (10-26) in the second half.

*Pitt is competing in its second all-time Preseason NIT/NIT Season Tip-Off. Pitt went 1-1 at Madison Square Garden when it dropped a 74-63 contest to Oklahoma State and defeated Texas 91-87 in the Consolation Game.
