Zanetta Wins Title at MSU Open

EAST LANSING, Mich. - University of Pittsburgh senior Anthony Zanetta captured his second individual championship of the season on Sunday by winning the 125 pound bracket at the MSU Open
Zanetta, who also won at the Knight Point Open in Clarion, outscored his opponents 30-12 en route to the victory. After picking up a 15-6 major decision in his opening match and an easy 8-1 decision in his second round contest. Zanetta matched up with 10th ranked Joe Roth of Central Michigan for a berth in the finals. Zanetta was able to pull out a 3-2 victory over Roth and then earned a 4-3 decision over another Chippewa, Christian Cullinan, to take the crown.
The 18th-ranked Pitt wrestling team returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 18, when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to battle No. 5 Ohio State in a 2 p.m. contest.
