Pitt Dropped by Providence in Overtime, 3-2

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Pitt fell in its third overtime game of the season, dropping a 3-2 decision at Providence on Saturday afternoon in Big East men's soccer action.
After a scoreless first half, sophomore Michael Tuohy broke through in the 57th minute by converting a free kick to put the Panthers (6-6-2) ahead 1-0.
Wilder Arboleda - who tallied all three of the Friars' scores - registered the first of his three goals in the 66th minute. Arboleda gave PC at 2-1 advantage in the 86th minute off a cross from the right side.
Pitt knotted the score at 2-2 just 18 seconds later on a goal from Cory Werth - his first of the season. Werth finished a loose ball past PC goalkeeper Keasel Broome.
Arboldea headed in a cross in the 94th minute of overtime to give PC (3-7-2) the win.
The Panthers host Marquette on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Sports Complex. The game will be broadcast on Pitt Panthers TV on The Comcast Network.
