PITTSBURGH - • Serving as game captains for the day are RB Ray Graham, DB K'Waun Williams, DB Jason Hendricks, LB Kevin Adams, DE T.J. Clemmings and DL Myles Caragein.
• Pitt's honorary captain for the Rutgers game is Bill Osborn, a 1989 University of Pittsburgh graduate and one of the Panthers' all-time great wide receivers. Osborn was Pitt's team captain as a senior in 1988 and finished his collegiate career with 77 receptions for more than 1,100 yards. Osborn lettered in football, baseball and basketball at Pitt - becoming the first and only athlete since Mike Ditka to letter in three sports at the University of Pittsburgh.
• Osborn is one of the most accomplished athletes to come out of Southern New Jersey, and had his No. 12 jersey retired at Wildwood High. He spent nine years as Pitt's radio color analyst before moving to Comcast's television college football package. Osborn has also done color work for the Philadelphia Soul.
• OL Ryan Schlieper made his first career start in place of the injured Lucas Nix.
• DL Myles Carageinrecovered a fumble near the end of the first quarter for the third recovery of his career.
• DL Chas Alecxih'ssack in the third quarter is his second of the season and his 13.5 of his career.
• The best six-game start by a Pitt running back was Tony Dorsett with 892 rushing yards in 1976. Ray Grahamsurpassed that with his performance today. Entering today's game, Graham had 734 yards.
• DL Chas Alecxih recorded his career-high in tackles on the afternoon, surpassing his previous high of eight, which he has reached three times, most recently against Cincinnati on Dec. 4, 2010.
