*The victory gave Pitt a 10-0 start to its season for the seventh time in the last eight years. Pitt has begun a season with a 10-0 start only eight times in school history (1927-28, 1929-30, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09).
*At 10-0, Pitt won 10 non-conference games for the 10th consecutive season. Pitt has won 10 or more non-conference games only 13 times since the school joined the Big East Conference in 1982-83.
*In just his eighth season as head coach, Jamie Dixon earned his 198th win and now needs just two wins to reach the 200-win plateau. With two more wins, Dixon will become the fastest coach in Pitt history to reach the 200-win marker and will tie the NCAA Division I record for quickest to 200 wins in only eight seasons (matching the record by Gonzaga's Mark Few and Kansas' Roy Williams).
*Pitt won its 14th consecutive home game and improved to 7-0 at the Petersen Events Center this year.
*With the win, Pitt extended its home win streak against non-conference opponents to 54. The Panthers are now 139-11 all-time in the Petersen Events Center and have won 45 of their last 46 home games.
*Pitt has now won 103 of 104 home games against regular season non-conference opponents and holds an 82-1 record against non-conference opponents inside the Petersen Events Center.
*The nation's leader in rebound margin, Pitt outrebounded Delaware State 41-18. Pitt entered the game with a plus-16.0 rebound margin.
*Pitt's bench also outscored Delaware State's bench 39-7.
*Pitt held Delaware State to 42 points, the least points scored against the Panthers this year.
*Pitt's 70 point game was its lowest scoring game of the season.
*Pitt defeated Delaware State by 28 points. It marked the 60th 20-point victory by Pitt in the Petersen Events Center.
*With a career-high 14 points and 10 rebounds, Dante Taylor registered his first career double-double. His six field goals made also marked a new career-high. Taylor also grabbed six offensive rebounds. He ranks among the league's top-4 in that category.
*J.J. Moore reached double figure scoring for the third time this year with 10 points.
