GAME STORYLINES
Looking to build momentum from its Big East-opening victory at Syracuse, Pitt hosts Rutgers at Heinz Field. The Panthers seek a 2-0 start to conference play for the third consecutive season. Pitt defeated the Scarlet Knights last year, 24-17, in Rutgers Stadium.
The Panthers have built an impressive New Jersey recruiting pipeline in recent years. Nine members of this year's team played their high school football in the Garden State.
The game will feature a sibling rivalry of sorts. Pitt sophomore tailback Ray Graham will square off against his brother Khaseem Greene, a sophomore starting free safety for the Scarlet Knights.
The Panthers are 23-10 over their last 33 games, the program's winningest stretch since the 2001-04 seasons.
