PITTSBURGH- After competing in separate meets for the past couple of weeks, the Panthers will travel to just one location this weekend. The team will head to Baltimore, Md., for the Morgan State Legacy.
Athletes will look to reach more Big East and ECAC/IC4A qualifying standards. Several athletes met the standards last weekend at Bucknell's Bison Classic and Tennessee's Sea Ray Relays. Antony Hobwana improved his previous IC4A qualifying mark of 10.68 in the 100 meter dash after clocking in at 10.52 at the Sea Ray Relays. Hobwana is just .02 off from qualifying for NCAA regionals in the event. Idris Kasumu also reached the IC4A qualifying standard in the 100 meter dash after crossing the line in 10.66 for third place at the Bison Classic at Bucknell.
Kari Hedderick will also look to meet the ECAC standard as she is less than a second away from meeting the 800 meter qualifying time.
The meet is scheduled for April 17-18 at Hughes Stadium.
