Hobwana Leads Men at IC4A Championships

BOSTON -- The University of Pittsburgh men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2009 IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Reggie Lewis indoor track at Boston University.
Anthony Hobwana led the Panthers, finishing fifth in the 200 meter dash with a season-best time of 21.61. Curtis Larimer ran 14:39.35 in the men's 5,000 meter run, finishing in 21st place for Pitt.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Brione Carthan-Reid, Dontave Cowswette, Jermaine Lowery and Hobwana improved on their Big East Championship time of 3:19.30, finishing eighth in a time of 3:16.29.
The men will pick up action with the start of the outdoor season, heading to Charlotte, N.C., for the Charlotte 49er Classic, held March 19-20.
