BOSTON -- The University of Pittsburgh women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2009 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Reggie Lewis indoor track at Boston University.
The Panthers tallied 18 points in the two-day event, finishing in 17th place overall.
Senior Mycaiah Clemons captured first place in the women's 60 meter hurdles, running an NCAA provisional time of 8.41 seconds. Clemons has reach provisional times at several meets this season, including the Big East Indoor Championships when she ran a personal-best and Pitt school record 8.36 seconds.
The women's 4x800 meter relay team of Gizelle Joshua, Kari Hedderick, Susan Martinez and Miya Johnson ran a 8:59.51, a four second improvement on their time at the Big East Indoor Championship meet. The team finished second to Boston College.
The women will pick up action with the start of the outdoor season, heading to Charlotte, N.C., for the Charlotte 49er Classic, held March 19-20.
