PITTSBURGH -
• Captains elected for the season are WR #1 Cedric McGee, LB #8 Adam Gunn, TE #80 Nate Byham, OL #74 John Malecki, DL #93 Gus Mustakas, and DL #95 Mick Williams.
• DB Jarred Holley's second quarter interception marked the second of his career. Holley recorded his first career interception last week in Pitt's win over Syracuse.
• WR Jonathan Baldwin's 36-yard TD reception in the second quarter is the eighth of his career and his fifth of the season.
• Baldwin's 142 yards receiving gives him five 100-yard receiving games this season. He has six 100-yard receiving games in his career.
• Baldwin has recorded at least one reception of 40-plus yards in six games this season.
• RB Ray Graham's 2-yard TD run in the third quarter marked the fourth TD of his career. The previous play that set up the TD was a career-long 52-yard run by the true freshman.
• DE Greg Romeus blocked a Notre Dame extra point early in the fourth quarter giving him four career blocked kicks (all PATs). Pitt has now blocked two kicks this season and 21 kicks during Head Coach Dave Wannstedt's tenure.
• Freshman RB Dion Lewis' 152 yards rushing on the day gives him seven 100-yard rushing performances during his short 10-game career. Lewis now has 1,281 yards on the year, which places him second on the Big East freshman season rushing list behind former Panther LeSean McCoy (1,328).
• Lewis now has 13 rushing TDs on the season, which ranks as the second highest total in Pitt history for a freshman, tying the legendary Tony Dorsett (1973). McCoy holds the record with 14 rushing TDs in 2007. Lewis is also one TD (rushing or receiving) shy of tying McCoy's school record for total TDs as a freshman.
• Lewis has also scored 84 points on the season, which ranks as the second-most points scored by a freshman in Pitt history, surpassing Tony Dorsett's 78 points. McCoy also holds that record with 90 points scored in 2007.
• Pitt recorded three 50-plus yard plays in the second half including a 51-yard reception by Jonathan Baldwin, a 52-yard rush by Ray Graham and a 50-yard TD run by Dion Lewis.
