Kielinski Shatters School Record

PRINCETON, N.J.--Pitt's A.J. Kielinski of the men's track and field team set a school record in the hammer throw, as the squad returned from the IC4A Outdoor Championships with several top 20 finishers.
In his final collegiate meet, Kielinski (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic) shattered the previous hammer throw record of 54.17 set by Patrick Harding in 2002. Kielinski's throw was 54.91 and finished 16th in that event.
In two other field events, junior Eric Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Gateway) finished 14th in the triple jump with a distance of 14.59m, while classmate Matt Raquet (Reading, Pa./Holy Name) was 17th with a lunge of 57.09m in the javelin.
Junior Sam Perkins (Kent, Ohio/Kent Roosevelt) claimed Pitt's lone top-15 finish, as he was 14th in the 100M dash at 10.77. Additionally, freshman Antony Hobwana (Harare, Zimbabwe/Prince Edward School) crossed the finish line at 10.85 for 21st in the 100M dash.
Later, Hobwana was 19th in the 200M dash at 22.07.
In the 10,000-meter run, senior Curtis Larimer (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) placed 17th (31:20.91), while the 4x100 relay team recorded the squad's final top-20 finish with an 18th-place time of 42.24.
