PITT-WEST VIRGINIA POST-GAME NOTES

*Ronald Ramon's game-winning 3-pointer with one second to go was the first game-winner in Petersen Events Center history.

*Pitt has won 15 of its last 16 games at the Petersen Events Center. Pitt now owns a 93-9 record and a .912 winning percentage in the six-year old arena. Pitt also owns a 37-8 regular season record vs. Big East opponents in the Petersen Events Center.

*Pitt improved to 3-1 against West Virginia in the Petersen Events Center.

*With the win tonight, Pitt is now 82-92 all-time against the Mountaineers. The Panthers are also now 5-7 in games decided by one-point. Pitt has now won four straight in the series against West Virginia dating back to a 67-62 loss in Morgantown on 2/27/06.

*DeJuan Blair ripped down 12 rebounds tonight. It marked the 11^th game this season he has recorded 10 or more rebounds.

*Pitt moves to 18-5 overall and 6-4 in Big East Conference play with the win tonight.

*With his 10 points, Sam Young reached double figure scoring for the 22nd time in 23 games this year. He has reached double figure scoring in 30 of his last 34 games played at Pitt and in 50 career contests.

*With the win tonight, Jamie Dixon avoided losing back-to-back games for only the sixth time in his career. The win also marked the fifth time that Pitt avoided losing back-to-back games this season.

*Keith Benjamin reached double figure scoring for the 10^th time this season. He finished with 10 points. He tied a career-high for field goal attempts with twelve.

*Gilbert Brown tied a career-high with two steals tonight.

*Pitt allowed West Virginia just 54 points tonight. The team has limited 19 of its first 23 opponents to 70 points or less in 2007-08. Since Jamie Dixon took over as head coach, Pitt has held 131 of its 158 opponents under 70 points. The Panthers has limited 49 of 58 Big East regular season opponents to 70 points or less over the last four years (2004-08).

*Pitt moved to 7-4 since losing Mike Cook and Levance Fields.
