PITT-LOUISVILLE POST-GAME NOTES

*Louisville becomes the first team to defeat Pitt on two different occasions at the Petersen Events Center. Coupled with today's loss, Louisville handed Pitt a 66-53 loss on February 12, 2007.

*Louisville handed Pitt its third consecutive loss. The last time Pitt lost three consecutive games was from February 20-26 when Villanova (80-72), West Virginia (70-66) and Connecticut (73-64) each defeated Pitt in consecutive games. Since Jamie Dixon became head coach, Pitt has now lost three straight games on those two stretches. Pitt has never lost four games in a row in the last five seasons.

*With his 20 points today, Sam Young surpassed the 1,000 career-point mark. He entered the game with 994 and now has 1,014. Young also finished today's contest with a career-high five assists. His previous best was three, which happened on five other occasions, the last being against Rutgers (1/26/08).

*With his 20 points and 11 rebounds, DeJuan Blair tied a career-high for points and registered his 11^th double-double of the season. It marked Blair's fourth 20-point game this season.

*Ronald Ramon reached double figure scoring for the 10^th time this season and 46^th time in his career. Ramon's four assists today gave him 108 against only 40 turnovers this season, which equates to a 2.7:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

*Levance Fields started his first contest today since fracturing his fifth metatarsal in his left foot at Dayton on December 29, 2007. It marked his 54^th career start (four starts in 2005-06, all 37 games in 2006-07, 13 starts in 2007-08). Prior to the injury, Fields started 49 consecutive games.

*Jamie Dixon is 124-38 overall in his fifth season as Pitt's head basketball coach. The 124 victories rank as the fifth most victories for an NCAA Division I coach after five seasons as a head coach. Here is where Dixon ranks on the all-time wins list after five seasons:

*Pitt committed only four turnovers this afternoon, marking the lowest turnover total in the five years since Jamie Dixon took over as head coach.

*Louisville converted 30 field goals today, the third-highest made-field goal total for a Pitt opponent in the Jamie Dixon Era. (34, vs. Notre Dame, 1/4/06; 33 at Miami, 1/10/04)

*Louisville shot 57.7 percent from the field today, the second-highest shooting percentage for a Pitt opponent under Jamie Dixon. (Highest- .609, vs. Georgetown, 1/13/07).
