PITTSBURGH—The 101st “Backyard Brawl” between Pitt and West Virginia at Heinz Field is soldout.
The game will kick off at noon this Friday, Nov. 28, and be nationally televised by ABC (WTAE, channel 4 in Pittsburgh).
The Panthers (7-3, 3-2 Big East) are seeking a second consecutive victory over the Mountaineers (7-3, 4-1). Last year, Pitt upset West Virginia, 13-9, in Morgantown.
Pitt holds a 60-37-3 advantage in the historic series that began in 1895. Since 2000, the teams have split the eight meetings.
In addition to television coverage, the game will be broadcast on the Pittsburgh ISP Sports Network, including flagship stations 3WS (94.5 FM) and Fox Sports 970 (970 AM). Pregame programming begins two hours before kickoff.
