GAME STORYLINES
Atop the Big East standings with a 2-0 league mark, Pitt takes a break from conference play and will visit Annapolis for the first time since 1987 to play Navy.
On the strength of four consecutive victories, Pitt is back in the nation's Top 25. The Panthers are 23rd in the latest Associated Press poll. The Panthers also received votes in the USA Today Top 25 coaches poll, placing 29th.
The Panthers will look to avenge last year’s double-overtime loss to Navy. Pitt fell to the Midshipmen, 48-45, in two OTs at Heinz Field on Oct. 10, 2007.
The Panthers seek a 5-1 start for the fourth time this decade. Pitt last started 5-1 during the 2006, 2002 and 2000 seasons.
