Pitt Cross Country Runs at Lock Haven Invitational

The Pitt Cross Country teams traveled to Lock Haven University's West Branch Course to take part in the Lock Haven Invitational today. The men claimed second place out of eight teams, while the women captured fourth.

For the second consecutive meet, freshman Joshua Christopher (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) registered a fourth place individual finish for the Panthers. He was followed by sophomore Kyle Kaminski (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and senior Eric Burnett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) as they posted 10^th and 11^th place times of 32:47.20 and 32:50.22, respectively.

Freshman Teddy Miller (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) also recorded a top-20 finish for the Panthers after crossing the finish line in 33:17.02, which was good for 20^th place.

The women were led by senior Amy Ruffolo (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny), who registered a sixth place time of 21:40.68. Two other Panthers, freshman Anna Yoney (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and junior Alexandra Briggs (Washington, Pa./Washington) joined Ruffolo in the top-15. Yoney posted an 11^th place time of 22:03.14, while Briggs claimed 13^th with a mark of 22:16.21.

Pitt will travel next to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Invitational on Friday, Sept. 28, at 5 p.m.
