
PITT MEN COMPETE IN PENN RELAYS

PHILADELPHIA - The Pitt men's track and field team wrapped up its regular season slate this weekend at the Penn Relays where the team had two field competitors. Eric Jones and A.J. Kielinski represented Pitt at the national event.
Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Gateway) took 10th in the eastern division of the triple jump. He finished at a distance of 14.14 meters. Kielinski (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic) competed in both the hammer throw and discus. He finished 21st in the discus with a distance of 42.16 meters, and he took 23rd in the hammer throw at 49.28 meters.
Next up for the Panthers will be the Big East Championships next weekend in Storrs, Conn. The competition begins on Friday for multi competitors and continues through Sunday.
