POST-GAME NOTES

*With the win, Head Coach Jamie Dixon became the fastest coach in school history to reach 100 games. It took Dixon 126 total games to reach the century mark. He now has a 100-26 overall record. Previously, H.C. "Doc" Carlson held the record, reaching 100 victories after 140 games. Paul Evans ranks second on the list, reaching 100 wins after 156 games at Pitt.

*Dixon also ranks among the all-time fastest coaches in NCAA Division I history to reach 100 wins. His mark of 126 victories to reach 100 career wins ranks tied for 16th among all-time NCAA Division I basketball coaches. Over the last 28 years, only two coaches have reached 100 victories faster: Syracuse's Jim Boeheim (117 games set in 1980) and Gonzaga's Mark Few (126 games in 2003). The national record is 109 games set by Doc Meanwell at both Wisconsin and Missouri in 1918.

*Dixon is one of only nine coaches in the history of NCAA Division I basketball to have won 100 or more contests in their first four seasons as a head coach. Dixon is attempting to set the record for most wins in four seasons as a head coach. The all-time NCAA Division I record is held by North Carolina's Everett Case which is 107 wins from 1947-50.

*With the win at Seton Hall and 6-0 road record in Big East play, Pitt remains the only team in the nation to own an undefeated record on the road in conference play. Pitt also improved to 8-1 on the road this year.

*Pitt won its school record sixth consecutive Big East road game. Previously, Pitt won five straight Big East road contests between Jan. 14-Feb. 17, 1987. With its 6-0 Big East road record and two more Big East road contests remaining (at Georgetown on Feb. 24 and at Marquette on March 3), Pitt has the opportunity to set a school record for league road wins.

*The six-game overall road win streak ranks tied for second all-time in school history. Pitt has won six consecutive road games on five other occasions. The record for most road wins in a row is 11.

*With his 14-point performance, Levon Kendall set a season-high for scoring and finished with his fifth double figure scoring game of the season. It was his 13^th career 10-plus scoring contest. Kendall led Pitt in rebounding for the third time this season.

*Levance Fields finished the game with a team-high 15 points. He scored all 15 of his points in the second half. It was his 13^th double figure scoring game of the year and 24^th of his career. Fields led Pitt in scoring fifth time this year.

*Sam Young reached double figure scoring for the 10^th time this year and 22^nd time in his career.

*Aaron Gray sat out the game with a left ankle sprain. Prior to this evening, Gray played in 89 consecutive games and started 60 straight contests. The starting lineup of Gray, Levon Kendall, Antonio Graves, Mike Cook and Levance Fields had started each of the first 27 games of the season.

*Pitt remains in first place in league play with an 11-2 Big East record. With three regular season games remaining, Pitt is attempting to set its record for league wins which is 13 set by the 2003-04, 2002-03 and 2001-02 teams.

*Pitt improved to 24-4 overall. The 24 overall wins ranks tied for second among all-time Pitt season win totals. The school record for wins is 31 set in 2003-04.

*Pitt finished the game with 55.1 percent shooting (27-49). Pitt finished the last two games shooting under 36 percent.

*Pitt has now limited 12 of 13 Big East opponents, 15 of its last 16 opponents and 25 of its 28 total opponents under 70 points. Under Jamie Dixon, Pitt has held opponents to 70 points or less in 106 of his 126 games.

*Pitt's win snapped a three-game losing streak at Continental Airlines Arena.

*Pitt's win snapped a two-game losing streak on the road against Seton Hall. Pitt improved to 27-19 all-time against the Pirates and 10-11 in games hosted by Seton Hall. Pitt has now claimed seven of the series' last 10 games.

*Pitt's bench outscored Seton Hall's 23-2. Pitt's bench has outscored its opponents in 21 of its 28 games this year and in 47 of its last 60 games played.

*Pitt entered the contest ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press poll and No. 8 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. Pitt has been ranked among the nation's top-10 in each poll this season and in each of the last 16 national polls. In addition, Pitt has been ranked among the nation's top-25 in 91 of the last 100 polls.
