PITT-SAINT LOUIS POST-GAME NOTES

*Pitt won the Hispanic College Fund Challenge presented by Nemacolin Woodlands Resort title with a 69-58 victory over Saint Louis. The victory gave Pitt a 3-0 record in the four-team challenge. Saint Louis finished with a 2-1 record, North Carolina A&T finished 1-2 and Houston Baptist was 0-3.

*Pitt's Sam Young earned Tournament Most Valuable Player honors. The other five All-Tournament team members included Kevin Lisch (Saint Louis), DeJuan Blair (Pitt), Levance Fields (Pitt), Tommie Liddell (Saint Louis) and Jason Wills (North Carolina A&T).

*With his 12 points, Young reached double figure scoring for the 10^th time in the last 13 games. In three Hispanic College Fund Challenge games, Young led Pitt in scoring with a 19.3 average, shot 64.9 percent (24-37) from the floor, shot 55.6 percent (5-9) from 3-point range and pulled down 9.0 rebounds in three games.

*DeJuan Blair contributed his third consecutive double figure scoring game with 16 points and eight rebounds. Blair averaged 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in the three-game tournament.

*Levance Fields finished with 16 points (7-10 FG), six rebounds, four assists in a team-high 34 minutes.

*Pitt won its 22^nd consecutive home game against a non-conference opponent and improves to 50-1 vs. non-conference opponents at the Petersen Events Center. Additionally, Pitt has won 71 of its last 72 home games against regular season non-conference opponents.

*Pitt won its first all-time game against Saint Louis. It is 1-3 all-time vs. the Billikens. Saint Louis is one of three Atlantic-10 teams who will play the Panthers this season. Pitt also plays at Duquesne (Dec. 5) and at Dayton (Dec. 29).

*Saint Louis shot 50.0 percent (24-48) from the floor on the evening. It became the first team to shoot over 50 percent against Pitt at the Petersen Events Center since Georgetown accomplished that feat on January 13, 2007.

*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon improved to an undefeated 21-0 in games played in November. Combining his November and December records, Dixon owns a 50-2 record in pre-January contests. Additionally, Dixon improved to 108-30 all-time as Pitt's head coach.

*Pitt also won the 27^th of its last 29 games against non-conference opponents.

*Pitt improves to 83-8 all-time in the Petersen Events Center. Head Coach Jamie Dixon now owns a 67-8 home record in beginning his fifth season at the helm.

*Pitt improved to 72-5 in the last seven years against non-conference competition.

*Pitt held Saint Louis to 58 points on the evening. Since Jamie Dixon became head coach, Pitt has held 115 of its 138 opponents under 70 points. Last year Pitt limited 31 of its 37 opponents under 70 points.

*Pitt is approaching the one million mark for total attendance. With tonight's crowd of 8,231, Pitt has now had 972,644 fans attend games in the six-year old Petersen Events Center.

*This evening's ESPN Regional color commentator Eric Murdock is a former Providence player. He holds Pitt's individual opponent scoring record after he scored 48 points vs. Pitt on January 23, 1991.
