Pittsburgh native and former Panthers star Dan Marino is widely recognized as one of the greatest football players of all-time. During his time at Pitt, Marino broke nearly every major passing record in school history and led the Panthers to four consecutive Top 10 finishes. Marino was the first-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 1983 and went on to become a nine-time Pro Bowler during his record-breaking 17-year NFL career. Marino retired holding an astonishing 25 NFL regular-season records and is the NFL's all-time leader in passing attempts, completions, yardage, and touchdowns. He is also one of the winningest quarterbacks in NFL history, earning 147 regular-season victories.
