POST-GAME NOTES
*Pitt improved to 14-2 overall and 2-0 in Big East play. The Panthers begin a Big East regular season at 2-0 for the fifth time in the last six years.
*Levance Fields reached double figure scoring for the seventh consecutive game. He was the only Panther in double figures with 11 points and tied his career-high with three 3-point field goals made.
*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon won his 90th career game. He reached 90 wins faster than any other coach in Pitt basketball history. He is now 90-24 overall with a .789 winning percentage. He also won 70 and 80 games faster than any other Pitt head coach. Here is a list of the other coaches:

*Pitt's 21-point victory over USF ranked tied for 16th among all-time largest Big East Conference wins in school history. It also marked Pitt's 19th Big East regular season win of 20 or more points in school history. The largest-ever Big East regular season victory was a 36-point win over
*Pitt and USF met for the first time in Big East play. The two schools did not play last season. The Panthers improved to 1-2 all-time vs. USF.
*Pitt won its fourth consecutive game.
*Pitt limited USF to a season opponent-low 48 points. This season, Pitt previously yielded 50 points to
*Pitt's bench outscored USF's 28-2. In its 16 games, Pitt's bench has outscored its opponents in 13 games. Additionally, Pitt's bench has outscored its opponents in 40 of its last 49 games played.
*Pitt improved to 6-1 vs. new Big East Conference teams which were added in 2005-06. It is now 1-0 vs. USF, 2-0 vs.
*Pitt won its 10th consecutive home game and improved to 10-0 at home this year. The 10-game win streak ranks tied for eighth among all-time best win streaks in Pitt basketball history.
