POST-GAME NOTES
*Center Aaron Gray scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds on the evening. Gray broke his string of four consecutive games of scoring under 10 points.
*Mike Cook reached double figures for the 11th time in 17 games on the year. He finished with 10 points.
*Antonio Graves notched double figure scoring for the 10th time this year and 28th time in his career. He finished with 10 points.
*Pitt begins its Big East regular season with a 3-0 record for the fifth time in six years.
*Pitt held back-to-back Big East teams under 50 points for the first time in school history. It held USF to 48 points on Sunday and DePaul to 49 on Wednesday. The last time Pitt held back-to-back teams to under 50 points was when it limited Penn State (Dec. 6, 2003) to 37 points and
*Pitt improved to a combined 7-1 vs. new Big East Conference teams added in 2005-06. It is now 2-0 vs. DePaul, 2-0 vs.
*Pitt held its ninth team this year under 40 percent field goal shooting. It held DePaul to 34.5 percent shooting (19-55).
*Pitt held DePaul to sub-34.5 percent shooting. Pitt has held 68 consecutive teams to sub-50 percent shooting.
*Pitt improved to 4-1 on the road this year.
*Pitt held DePaul to 18 first half points. The 18 points marked the lowest total scored in a half by an opponent this season against Pitt. The 18 points was the lowest point total scored in a half against Pitt since Louisville scored 16 points on March 8, 2006 in the Big East Championship First Round.
*Pitt improved to 2-1 all-time vs. DePaul. The game marked Pitt's first-ever Big East visit to DePaul.
