PITT-WEST VIRGINIA POST-GAME NOTES

*Pitt drops to 21-5 overall and 10-5 in the Big East. It is now 5-5 on the road this season.

*Pitt split its games against West Virginia on the season.

*Pitt limited West Virginia to 67 points. Pitt has now limited 20 of 26 teams to 70 points or less on the year.

*The contest marked the 170^th game in the 100-year series dating back to the 1905-06 season. Pitt drops to 78-92 all-time vs. WVU. The contest also marked just the second time in the 170-game series that both teams entered the game nationally ranked.

*Pitt outrebounded West Virginia by 17 boards at 41-24. The plus-17 rebound margin ranked as the second best rebound margin for Pitt this season. Pitt had a plus-21 rebound margin vs. Auburn after outrebounding the Tigers 41-20 on Dec. 4, 2005.

*Pitt's bench outscored West Virginia 27-4. It was the 22^nd time this season that Pitt's bench outscored its opponent. In addition, Sam Young (12 points) and Levance Fields (10 points) became the 25^th and 26^th players to score hit double figures off the bench this season.
