POST-GAME NOTES
*Pitt improved to 14-0 at home this season. It also won its 14th consecutive home game, a streak that ranks tied for third among home win streaks in school history.
*Pitt improved to 62-5 overall and 25-4 vs. Big East opponents at the
*Ronald Ramon scored a season-high 16 points on four 3-pointers. Ramon has now reached double figures in five of the last seven games played.
*Aaron Gray finished the game with 16 points and eight rebounds. It was the 17th time this season that Gray registered double figure scoring.
*Sam Young scored 10 points off the bench for Pitt. It was the 20th time this season that a Pitt bench scored in double figures.
*Pitt ended its two-game losing streak.
*Pitt snapped its two-game losing streak in the series. Pitt improved to 78-91 in the all-time series and 57-35 in home contests. Pitt also is 2-1 vs. WVU at the

*Pitt played its third straight nationally ranked opponent. The Panthers improved to 4-2 vs. top-25 opponents this season. No. 9 West Virginia was the highest ranked team Pitt has defeated this season.
*Pitt held WVU to 53 points, the least points scored against Pitt in Big East play. The 22 first half points were also the least scored in a half against Pitt in Big East play.
*Pitt honored the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers with a ceremony at halftime. Among those in attendance were Brett Keisel, Mike Logan, Antwaan Randle El, Jeff Reed, former Pitt star Rod Rutherford, Kendall Simmons, Ike Taylor, Greg Warren, Dan Roony, Art Rooney and Kevin Colbert.
