POST-GAME NOTES

Maggie Dixon Classic, Pitt vs. Western Michigan

*With the win against Western Michigan, Pitt improved its winning streak against non-conference opponents to 12 consecutive games. It improved to 57-3 vs. non-conference opponents in the last six seasons.

*In his first action at Pitt, Mike Cook started his first contest and led the Panthers with 17 points and seven field goals in 22 minutes. It was Cook's first game action since the 2004-05 season when he played at East Carolina. After transferring to Pitt last summer, Cook sat out the 2005-06 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

*Levance Fields made his first start since November 29, 2005. He finished the game with a career-high nine assists.

*Aaron Gray registered his 19^th career double-double as he finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds. The contest also marked his 30^th double figure scoring game and 21^st double figure rebounding game.

*Ronald Ramon tied a career-high with five 3-pointers. He hit 5-6 3-point field goal attempts en route to 16 points. Ramon also hit five 3-pointers at Rutgers on Jan. 8, 2006.

*Tyrell Biggs finished with a career-high 11 points in 18 minutes of action. He also surpassed or tied career-highs for field goals (5) and field goal attempts (5).

*Three Pitt players off the bench reached double figures: Ramon (16 points), Biggs (11 points) and Sam Young (12 points). Pitt's bench outscored WMU's bench 45-16.

*Pitt shot 59.3 percent (35-59) from the floor and hit 50.0 percent (7-14) of its 3-point field goals.

*Pitt limited Western Michigan to 67 points in the contest. Pitt has limited 27 of its last 33 opponents under 70 points.

*Pitt and Western Michigan met for the first time in history. The Panthers improved to 26-26 all-time against Mid-American Conference schools.

*Pitt improved to 67-33 all-time in season openers and improved to 4-0 in season openers on a neutral floor. The last time Pitt opened its season on a neutral floor was against Alabama in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Madison Square Garden in 2003.

*Head Coach Jamie Dixon coached in his 99^th career game at Pitt. His 100^th career game is Tuesday against Delaware State.

*Pitt appeared for the first-ever game on ESPN-U.
