- With his fourth quarter touchdown pass to Oderick Turner, Tyler Palko moved into a tie for third place on Pitt's all-time career touchdown passes leaders list with 59 career TD passes. Palko is now tied with Rod Rutherford (2000-03), who threw 59 touchdown passes from 2000-03. Palko and Rutherford now trail 1. Dan Marino (79 from 1979-83) and 2. Alex Van Pelt (66 from 1989-92).
- With his 26 attempts this evening, Tyler Palko has thrown 108 consecutive passes without an interception.
- With his 19 tackles, H.B. Blades moved into fifth place on Pitt's all-time career tackles leaders list. Blades, who now has 383 total tackles, passed Steve Apke (368 tackles from 1983-86), Jerry Olsavsky (367 from 1985-88) and Tez Morris (366 from 2002-05).
