POST-GAME NOTES

*Pitt won its 12^th consecutive home game. The 12-game win streak now ranks tied for fifth among the school's all-time longest win streaks. The school record is a 40-game win streak set between Jan. 22, 2001-Feb. 15, 2004. Pitt is now 12-0 at home this year. Pitt also won its third straight conference game at home.

*Pitt improved to 60-5 overall in the Petersen Events Center and 23-4 against Big East regular season opponents in the PEC.

*Pitt outrebounded Syracuse 45-38. Pitt is now 13-0 this season when it outrebounds its opponent.

*Pitt outscored Syracuse's bench 24-9. Pitt is now 15-1 when its bench outscores its opponent.

*Carl Krauser scored a career-high 32 points on the evening. His previous career-high was 31 points vs. Richmond on Dec. 23, 2004. It was the third time in his career that Krauser scored 30-plus points. He has now scored over 20-plus points seven this year and 21 times for his career. Krauser hit 13 of 14 free throws and 8-13 field goals including 3-6 3-pointers for his 32 points.

*Aaron Gray pulled down 10 rebounds. It was his 11^th double figure rebounding game in 17 contests this year. He tied a career-high with six offensive rebounds in the game.

*Keith Benjamin reached double figure scoring (11 points) for the second time this season. He scored a career-high 12 points at Rutgers last week. Benjamin's output was Pitt's 17^th double figure scoring performance off the bench this season.

*Pitt dropped to No. 10 in the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll and No. 12 in the Associated Press poll announced earlier Monday.

*Pitt defeated Syracuse for the third consecutive game. It has now defeated Syracuse in eight of the two schools' last 10 meetings. Pitt is now 22-24 overall against Syracuse at home including a 3-1 record at the Petersen Events Center. It also improved to 33-60 overall in the series.

*Pitt's 12,508 crowd matched its season-high capacity in the Petersen Events Center.
