GAME NOTES
*Two of the nation's unbeaten teams: Pitt (15-1) and Duke (17-1) lost on Saturday.
*With the loss, Pitt's six-game road win streak was snapped. The streak began with a 72-50 win at
*Pitt dropped to 4-1 in the Big East. Pitt has now won its first four Big East games to begin league play in three of the last four seasons. It went 5-0 in 2002-03, 4-0 in 2003-04 and 5-0 in 2005-06.
*With the loss, Pitt dropped to 15-1 on the year. Pitt's 15-0 start ranks tied for the third best start in school history. Pitt went 21-0 in 1927-28, 18-0 in 2003-04, 16-0 in 2005-06 and 15-0 in 1915-16.
*Pitt's six-game win streak in league play came to an end. The six-game Big East regular season win streak ranks tied for the fourth best in school history. The school record is 12 consecutive league victories set from Feb. 2, 2002-Jan. 25, 2003. *Pitt's win streak concluded today at 15 games. The 15-game win streak ranked tied for the fifth longest in school history. The school record is 22 consecutive wins set from Dec. 4, 1973-Feb. 20, 1974. Pitt has also registered win streaks of 21 (1927-28), 19 (1929-30), 18 (2003-04) and 15 (1915-16).
