POST-GAME QUOTES
Pitt vs. Saint Peter's
November 19, 2005
Quoting Head Coach Jamie Dixon:
On Saint Peter's:
"They just keeps battling. They can always get back into it."
On the play of Levance Fields:
"I think [Levance Fields] played very well. He really made the offense run well when he was in there. I think Ronald's [Ramon] played very well. I think we're always going to have two point guards in there. I think [Levance] has gotten better every day. I think between him, Ronald and Carl, we're going to have some good point guard play."
On his his team:
"We're going to play young kids. We did that last year. You'd like to be experienced every year, but that's just not possible. [Fields] is tough. He's competitive. He's around some guys that understand what's going on, too. That will help."
Quoting Antonio Graves:
On Pitt's run at the end of the first half:
"I think it started with Levance, Carl and Aaron. Those three guys left a lot of open spaces for me. We've got a lot of guys this year that can do a lot of things. It's definitely fun out there playing with a new lineup. When we come out here we just want to relax and have fun, and do what we do best."
On the team:
"We have a lot of players right now that can step up and do big things for us. We've got a lot of guys that can make plays just as well as I can. If me coming off the bench is what we need to make a spark, then I'm willing to do what it takes to be successful."
Quoting Levance Fields:
On starting his first collegiate game:
"[Starting positions] are kind of competitive with practice right now. It meant a lot [to start in this first game]. I've got to continue in practice so I can keep starting. We've got a lot of guys. Anybody could step in and start."
Quoting Saint Peter's Head Coach Bob Leckie:
On Pitt's play:
"
On his upcoming schedule:
"We have Seton Hall next, another Big East opponent. This is going to help us prepare for them."
On his schedule and the play of Keydren Clark:
"This is what I so choose to do, to have Keydran [Clark] showcase his talent against some of the better teams in the East here. I think he's proven he can play at this level, but he was loyal enough to stay at Saint Peter's College and help us build this program."
