Pitt's Swimming and Diving Team Announces Title Changes

PITTSBURGH-Head swimming and diving coach, Chuck Knoles has announced changes to three titles of the swimming and diving coaching staff, this week.
Marian Clark was named Director of Operations/Senior Assistant Coach. Clark joined the Panther staff in 1993 as the head coach for the women's swimming and diving team until the men and women's teams merged in 2003. Prior to coaching at Pitt, Clark was a Panther swimmer and a Big East champion in the 500 free and the 400 IM and was an Academic All-American during her undergraduate years.
Jeff Berghoff will assume the role of Assistant Head Coach for Women's Swimming. Berghoff joined the Panthers six years ago as the assistant coach for women's swimming and diving. Prior to working with the women's team for three years, Berghoff coached at nearby Oakland Catholic High School, leading the team to the state championships in 1999.
Julian Krug was named Assistant Head Coach for Diving. Krug has worked for the swimming and diving program for 26 years. He earned the title of Big East Men's Diving Coach of the Year last year, making it his second consecutive honor and third in the last five years.
The Pitt swimming and diving team opens its home schedule on Friday, Nov. 4, against Notre Dame at 4 p.m.
