The Bearcats, who won the 2004 Fort Worth Bowl, enter their first season as members of the Big East Conference.
The Panthers have won 18 of their last 25 Big East games (.720), dating back to a 33-7 victory over
Pitt last started a season 1-4 in 2001. The Panthers rebounded that year to win their final six games, including a Tangerine Bowl victory over NC State, to finish 7-5.
