Walt Harris Quotes
On wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald?s injury:
?I think we?ll wait until we get it evaluated by the doctors. We don?t like to see anybody get hurt. Any time one of your players gets hurt, hopefully it?s not very serious. We don?t know how serious it is. He was running up the sidelines and delivered a blow into one of the guys that was coming over, trying to run what we call a sideline drill. Somebody jumped on his back while he was in a stretched, strained-out position. It might have affected his hamstring to some degree. We?ll find out.?
On the workout today:
?I thought it was a better day than it was yesterday ? a little more zip today. I think yesterday it was the first day of hot weather. I think our seniors did a better job today. We?re still in one-a-day. We?re still installing so it?s still pretty sloppy.?
On wearing pads:
?We were in pads today. Even though you don?t have the bottoms on, it?s not much different other than you don?t bring a guy to the ground. They?re getting a chance to play football with shorts and shoulder pads. We?ve got a long way to go. With people getting hurt, it doesn?t make it any easier. We?ve got to find more football players to take their places.?
On the offense:
?Football?s not done in the meetings, it?s done on the grass. It just hurts everybody ? it?s not just us. We can?t complain about something we don?t have any control over.?
On free safety Tez Morris:
?He?s a football player and he really did a nice job for us. We have another safety, Corey Humphries, who?s a couple years older who graduated as a senior and Tez Morris was the starter. That says a lot about the quality of a player Tez Morris is. I believe Tez is a starter. He played every game as a starter. Corey is a quality player. We really have two players at the same position that can play.?
On Tez?s Morris? size:
?We?ve got all kinds of guys there. He?s a little more mighty than he looks. He?s got real good speed, and he?ll hit you. He?s probably the second best safety we?ve had here other than Ramon (
On the offensive line:
?Other than Jon Schall, everything?s still a dog fight. Jon Schall?s captured one of the offensive positions ? we?re not sure what that?s going to be, either guard or center. The rest of the spots are wide open still.?
