Tamara McGill Captures Heptathlon Event at Texas Relays

The sophomore earned a personal-best 5,291 points in the event.

PITTSBURGH ? Pittsburgh sophomore Tamara McGill recently won the heptathlon event at the 76th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.

McGill (Franklin Park, N.J./Franklin Park) finished with a personal-best 5,291 points in the event, which provisionally qualified her for the 2003 Outdoor NCAA Championships in June.

The Panthers are back in action next weekend at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.
