PITTSBURGH - University of Pittsburgh head football coach Walt Harris will host a series of football camps for boys ranging in ages from 12 to 18 this summer at the Panthers' state-of-the-art practice facility, the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
Harris and his staff will offer four camps, including:
*Offensive/Defensive Linemen Camp (June 15-16, for boys entering grades 9-12)
*Quarterback/Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Camp (June 15-16, for boys entering grades 9-12)
*Individual Camp (June 17-20, boys ages 12-18)
*Specialist Camp (June 21, boys ages 12-18)
*Team Passing Camp (June 22-23, High School Teams Only)
The non-contact camps feature an emphasis on football techniques and fundamentals. In each camp there will be individual time spent with each player as well as instruction based on age and level of play. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for competition and teamwork during each session.
The UPMC Sports Performance Complex is the day-to-day home of Panther football and features grass practice fields, an indoor practice facility and the Panther Hall of Fame. Other components include athletic training facilities, locker rooms and administrative staff office areas.
