9/25/2000
PITTSBURGH - The undefeated Pittsburgh Panthers' Oct. 7 game at Syracuse will be nationally televised by ESPN2, it has been announced. The game will kick off at 4:30 p.m.
Pittsburgh, which enters its open week with a 4-0 overall record and 1-0 Big East mark, will now have no less than four games shown on television this year. The Panthers' victories over Bowling Green and Penn State were televised by ESPN Regional and CBS, respectively. Pittsburgh's regular-season finale against West Virginia Nov. 24 will also be a CBS telecast.
Additional television dates are expected to be added as the season progresses. Last year, Pittsburgh tied a school regular-season record with nine television games.
