PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh opened a 13-0 lead as Rutgers missed its first 11 shots Saturday, then rallied for a 67-62 win behind 30 points from Jarrett Lockhart in the Big East.
Lockhart was 5-of-7 on 3-pointers and of 11-of-16 overall. Ricardo Greer had 15 points and now has 34 in his last two games, including a 70-60 win over Boston College on Thursday.
Greer also had 12 rebounds and outdueled his brother, Jeff, who had nine points for Rutgers (15-12, 6-8), which had beaten Georgetown by 17 points on Tuesday. The Scarlet Knights are home with No. 22 Connecticut on Monday.
The Panthers (12-13) won only their fourth of 14 Big East games and play 17-9 Miami at home on Tuesday.
Dahntay Jones and Todd Billett each had 15 points for the Scarlet Knights, but Jones fouled out and he and Billett combined to shoot 9-of-24 overall.
Rutgers shot just 30 percent in the first half and 36 percent for the game. Rashod Kent was 3-for-10, Luis Flores was 3-for-9 and Jeff Greer was 3-for-7. Mike Tompson was 0-for-5 in 9:00 as a reserve.
